Heron Heights Accommodation is situated on the Pacific Highway, 50 kms from Thames and 1½ hours from Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga. It overlooks the beautiful Tairua Harbour, but has a country-like atmosphere. Grey herons frequent the grounds most of the year. Our separate self-contained accommodation is set in two acres of award winning garden with fantastic views of the harbour, Mt Paku and the estuary. This accommodation is completely separate from the main house with idyllic tranquil setting both peaceful and private.

Your hosts Brian and Linda Hart are New Zealanders' who have travelled extensively and enjoy meeting overseas guests. Brian is a builder, keen fisherman,diver and pilot. He is a local Volunteer Fire Officer and an Honorary Fisheries Officer. |

Linda is a Registered Nurse working as a Primary Health Care Nurse. She is an avid gardener and welcomes guests to walk around the grounds and sample the fresh fruit and vegetables from the potager garden, and take time out to stop and smell the hundreds of roses and tropical fragrant flowers in the garden. Linda is also The Medical Officer for the local Police. Visit anywhere on the Peninsula for the day from Heron Heights . Only a short drive to Hahei, Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach , Pauanui, Whangamata, Thames, Whitianga or Coromandel Town. 18 and 9 hole golf courses, tennis courts, lawn bowls, miles of tramping tracks and walking routes and miles and miles of beautiful coastline here in Tairua and the Coromandel Peninsula. |
